Richard McElroy, BBA President - Technology In A Box - IT Services

With over 25 years of experience designing, supporting and troubleshooting computer systems, Richard has a solid understanding of what it takes to build stable and secure systems to keep our clients’ operations running smoothly.  

Richard started his technology career working with the first IBM PC, and today he is an expert in network security; web site and application development; Internet and remote access solutions; PC hardware and software; computer networks; and Point-of-Sale and inventory control systems. 

Not your typical computer geek, Richard’s extensive business experience includes work in the banking, retail, industrial and manufacturing, insurance, publishing and media industries. In 1996, before the dot com craze, he developed one of the first Internet banking systems.

Richard received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University, where he also minored in Spanish and Law.  Richard is a Certified QuickBooks Enterprise and Point of Sale ProAdvisor, and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
